travelling in Aug-Sept 2017

Hi, i am flying in to Auckland on the 10th Aug and return flight on the 22nd Sept. This gives me roughly about 40 days to travel (as you suggest to leave a day each side) will this be enough time to appreciate the 'Whole Kit & Caboodle' buss pass. I know the min is 30 days but that's without stopping is this the best option for me or am i better suited to another route? As i will be going in NZ winter will all the activities still be available to do? Do most people book accommodation in advance or when aboard the bus?

Kia Ora Mollie.

I would definitely recommend you book the Whole Kit and Caboodle pass with your time frame! As you have said, the minimum time to travel on this pass is 30 days, but having more time is great! This means you can 'hop off' the bus at some of our awesome locations (Rotorua, Wellington or Abel Tasman for example) and spend more time experiencing our beautiful country. And you will not have to pack up your bags and travel on the bus each day.

Most of the activities are running as per our usual offering over the winter period. It is just more likely over this time however that the activities would be cancelled due to the weather conditions.

It is recommended to book accommodation through your driver guide each day you are on the bus. We have guaranteed spots held in each place in dorm style accommodation of 6 or so people. You will just need to book any additional nights in each place yourself. Ask your driver for our preferred hostels to book in advance.

I hope this helps!
