Hi! I'm travelling to NZ in december (I'll land on the 10th of december and go back home on the 4th of January) and was thinking of getting the Funky Chicken Pass. I was thinking of travelling from Auckland down south to Queenstown and then take a plane up to Auckland to also experience the Bay & Cape (or is it called Bay of Islands?) before returning to Auckland in time for the flight back home. Is that possible to make or is it going to be too tight?
Kia Ora Christian, thanks for getting in touch with Kiwi Experience!
The Funky Chicken Route takes a minimum time of 21 days to complete the whole route. As you will be in New Zealand for almost a month you should be sweet to compete the Auckland to Queenstown part of the trip as well as the Bay and Cape add on during your time with us. I would recommend purchasing the Super Funky pass which is currently on sale for $799 which is the Funky chicken with included Bay and Cape and Milford Sounds Explorer. This pass is the best value for money. and one of our most popular passes! I would also consider doing the Bay and Cape at the start of your trip, before the Funky Chicken and then look at flight home from either Queenstown or even Christchurch.

Thanks so much for the tip! Did my booking now and can't wait to get to see your lovely country!
I'm wondering how hard it is to get a flight from Christchurch up to Auckland on the 2nd or 3rd of january? Should I book that one ahead or what do you suggest?
Awesome! Congratulations on getting one of our passes!
I would recommend to book the flights for those dates in advance just because you might get a good price now and then you won't have to worry about availability (it is holiday time in New Zealand as well so a lot of Kiwis travel to visit their families and friends at that time of the year).
